How the marketplace fee index is computed
The index takes the seller fees that each marketplace publishes and computes the payout of one sale for a seller in seven countries. It uses the same code as the RestocksAIO fee calculators. This edition is dated 27 Oct 2026.

Assumptions
One sale, the same rules everywhere
The sale
- One pair of sneakers, a standard sale, at 150, 250 and 500 EUR. The fee-rate curve runs from 50 to 1,000 EUR in steps of 10.
- The sale price is the price on which the marketplace calculates its fees. Buyer fees are not part of it.
- WeTheNew: the price is the offer that WeTheNew accepts, so its payout is not comparable with the others. The charts leave it out.
Shipping
- The payout includes seller shipping only where the marketplace deducts it from the payout.
- StockX: the single-item seller shipping of the seller country is deducted.
- Alias/GOAT: the fixed seller fee for prepaid shipping is deducted.
- KLEKT: shipping varies by location and is not published, so it is not deducted.
- eBay: the buyer pays no postage in the model, and the seller pays the carrier outside eBay, so it is not deducted.
Seller setup
- StockX at Seller Level 1 and Level 3. The minimum seller fee applies to the transaction fee when the percentage is lower.
- Alias/GOAT at a seller rating of 90+, cash out to a bank account in the local currency.
- KLEKT at Trust Tier 1, the tier of a new seller. eBay as a business seller without an eBay Store.
- POIZON with the scheme for US companies only, with a technical fee minimum of 20 RMB and a handling fee of 38 RMB, the top of the published range.
Currency
- Every sale is priced in EUR. For a seller in the United Kingdom or the United States, the price converts at the ECB reference rate of 26 Oct 2026.
- Fees run in the seller's currency, so thresholds, minimums and fixed fees stay as the marketplace publishes them. The payout converts back to EUR at the same rate.
- The Alias seller fee (USD) and the POIZON minimum and handling fee (RMB) convert at the same ECB rates.
Exclusions
What the index leaves out
- VAT, sales tax and income tax.
- Marketplaces without a published seller fee table: the index covers six marketplaces until official sources exist for others.
- eBay in the Netherlands (no fee table), KLEKT for US sellers, WeTheNew for UK and US sellers and POIZON outside the United States: these cells are empty.
- StockX Flex storage, eBay Store subscriptions, promoted listings, international fees, and currency fees at cash out.
- Seller levels, ratings and tiers other than the ones above. The calculators take any level.
- Real sales. The index models published fees; it does not use the sales data of RestocksAIO users.
Updates
When the index changes
We check each fee page at least once a quarter and when a marketplace announces a change. When a number changes, we update the index the same week, give it a new edition date and log the change with its before and after values. The CSV and the charts are rebuilt from the same data at every release of the site.
