What the seller keeps: the sneaker marketplace fee index
RestocksAIO computed what a sneaker seller keeps of one sale on seven marketplace setups, in seven countries, from the official fee pages. A seller in Spain keeps €212.00 of a €250.00 sale on StockX at Level 1, after StockX deducts €8.00 for shipping. The same seller keeps €226.18 on eBay, before paying the postage. Across the seven countries, a €250.00 sale pays out between €211.85 and €232.05. The fee pages were checked up to 23 Oct 2026; the exchange rates are the ECB rates of 26 Oct 2026.
Key figures
Five numbers to quote
Each figure is for one sale, with the fees of 23 Oct 2026.
On a €250.00 sale, a seller in Germany keeps €232.05 on eBay and a seller in France keeps €218.78. eBay France has no sneaker rate and charges 12%; eBay Germany charges 7%.
A StockX Level 1 seller keeps €215.00 of a €250.00 sale in Germany and €212.00 in Spain. The only difference is the seller shipping: €5.00 against €8.00.
At €50.00, StockX Level 1 fees and shipping take 23.0% of the sale price in Germany, against 14.0% at €250.00. The minimum seller fee of €5.00 applies to cheap pairs.
Alias at a 90+ rating pays the least of the comparable marketplaces in 6 of 7 countries at €250.00: the commission, the 2.9% cash-out fee and the USD seller fee add up.
Moving from StockX Level 1 to Level 3 adds €2.50 to the payout of a €250.00 sale and €5.00 to a €500.00 sale.
How to read the numbers
One sale, one rule for shipping
What the payout includes
The payout is the sale price minus what the marketplace deducts. Seller shipping counts only where the marketplace deducts it: StockX deducts the seller shipping, and Alias deducts a fixed seller fee for prepaid shipping. KLEKT shipping varies by location and is not published, and an eBay seller pays the postage outside eBay, so neither is deducted.
The setup of each marketplace
StockX: standard sale at Level 1 and Level 3. Alias/GOAT: seller rating 90+, prepaid shipping, cash out to a bank in local currency. KLEKT: Trust Tier 1, the tier of a new seller. eBay: business seller without an eBay Store, no buyer postage. POIZON: the published scheme for US companies. WeTheNew: bank transfer, standard payment.
Currency
Every sale is priced in EUR. A seller in the United Kingdom or the United States sells at the same price converted at the ECB reference rate of 26 Oct 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1188 USD = 0.8382 GBP). The fees run in the local currency and the payout converts back to EUR.
What is left out
VAT and sales tax, promotions, eBay Store subscriptions and international fees, and currency fees at cash out. The full list is in the methodology. Read the methodology
Payout table
What a seller keeps of a €250.00 sale
Net payout in EUR. A dash means that the marketplace publishes no fee table for that country.
Payout and share of the sale price kept at 150, 250 and 500 EUR.
Selling from Spain
Spain has the highest StockX shipping deduction of the seven countries (€8.00), so a Level 1 seller keeps €212.00 of a €250.00 sale. eBay Spain has no sneaker rate: the general rate of 9% applies, and the seller keeps €226.18 before paying the postage. KLEKT Tier 1 pays €230.00 before its shipping cost. Alias charges a seller from Spain a fixed fee of 8 USD, the highest with Italy, and pays €211.85.

Effective fee rate
How the fee share falls with the price
The share of the sale price that goes to fees, from 50 to 1,000 EUR in steps of 10.
Three things shape the curve. The StockX minimum seller fee of €5.00 lifts the rate on cheap pairs. Fixed amounts, such as the StockX shipping, the Alias seller fee and the eBay per-order fee, weigh more on a cheap pair than on an expensive one. eBay Germany charges 12% under an item price of €100.00 and 7% from that price, so its curve drops at €100.00. KLEKT charges one percentage, so its line is flat.
Which marketplace leaves a sneaker seller the most money?+
Of the marketplaces that publish comparable seller fees, eBay and KLEKT leave the most of a €250.00 sale in most countries, but their payouts do not include the shipping that the seller pays. StockX and Alias deduct shipping or a fixed seller fee from the payout. Over the seven countries, a €250.00 sale pays out between €211.85 and €232.05.
Why does the StockX payout change from one country to another?+
The StockX transaction fee and the payment processing fee are the same percentages in every country. The seller shipping is not: StockX deducts €5.00 from Germany and the Netherlands, €7.00 from France and Italy and €8.00 from Spain. The minimum seller fee also differs by region.
Why are KLEKT and eBay higher than StockX in the table?+
The index deducts only what the marketplace deducts from the payout. StockX deducts the seller shipping. KLEKT shipping varies by location and KLEKT does not publish it, and an eBay seller pays the postage outside eBay. A KLEKT or eBay seller still pays for shipping, so compare those payouts with that cost in mind.
Why is WeTheNew not in the charts?+
WeTheNew pays the price of an offer that WeTheNew accepts or a consignment price, not the price a buyer pays. Its fixed service fee is small, but the accepted price is usually lower than a marketplace sale price. The table shows WeTheNew for reference; the charts and the spreads leave it out.
How do you handle USD and GBP?+
Every sale is priced in EUR. For a seller in the United Kingdom or the United States, the index converts the price at the ECB reference rate of 26 Oct 2026, computes the fees in the local currency, and converts the payout back to EUR. The Alias seller fee is published in USD and converts at the same rates.
