Vinted counter offer: when to accept, counter or decline
Every buyer offer on Vinted or Wallapop gets one of three answers: accept, decline or counter. Decide the floor of each pair before the offer arrives. Then the answer is quick. Accept at or above the floor, counter below it, and decline only when no counter makes sense.
Set the floor before the offer arrives
The floor is the lowest price you accept for one pair. Start from the real cost of the unit and add the margin you want. Write the floor down before you list the pair, not when a buyer is waiting.
On Vinted, a private seller pays no seller fee, because Vinted charges the buyer a protection fee. So for a private seller, the offer price is the payout. Check your country's Vinted rules if you sell as a business. The guide to auto-accepting offers shows how to build a floor from cost and margin.
Accept, counter or decline: one rule for each offer
Compare each offer with two prices: your floor and your listing price. The table gives the answer for each case.
| The offer | Answer | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| At or above your floor | Accept | The sale meets your margin. |
| Below your floor, and the buyer still talks | Counter | A price at or above the floor can still close the sale. |
| Below your floor, on a pair that sells at full price on other channels | Decline | You lose nothing if you wait for the next buyer. |
| Below your floor, after the buyer refused your counter | Decline | The buyer already knows your price. |
Usually, a counter is the better answer. A decline ends the talk. A counter at your floor tells the buyer the real price and keeps the sale open.
How a counter offer works on Vinted
Vinted sellers can counter an offer. In the conversation, decline the buyer's offer and press Make an offer to send a different price. A seller offer can be up to 40% below the listing price. So a pair listed at €100 cannot get a seller offer below €60. Only that buyer sees the new price.
A counter does not reserve the item. The buyer does not have to buy at your price. Other members can still make offers or buy the item until the buyer you talk to presses Buy now. Vinted sets no limit on the number of seller offers you send.
Answer Vinted and Wallapop offers in Confirm Sales
RestocksAIO lists the buyer offers of each connected Vinted and Wallapop account in Confirm Sales. Click Load Unconfirmed. Each offer is one row. Store Price is the price of your item, and Rough Payout is the price that the buyer offers. The same list shows the sales that wait for you on Alias, KLEKT, WeTheNew and LimitedResell.
Each offer row has three buttons. The tick accepts the offer, and the minus declines it. The arrows open the Counter offer box. Type your price in New price and click Send counter offer. A card shows the item, the item price, the buyer offer and your counter. Click Send counter offer on the card to send the price. The buyer can then buy at your price, and the buyer's offer ends.
The counter works the same way on a Wallapop offer, so a Spanish seller sends the contraoferta from the same row. Buyer offers need the new app, version 0.4.41.40 or later.

RestocksAIO reads the offer again before it sends your answer. When the offer no longer waits, nothing is sent. After the answer, the row leaves the list. When one conversation of an account does not load, the other offers of that account still show.
On WeTheNew and LimitedResell, the Offer Sniper accepts offers at or above your Lowest Payout for you. On Vinted and Wallapop, every answer is your click. See Vinted in RestocksAIO for listing, repricing and sales on that channel.
